1. What is pregnancy?
Pregnancy is the period when a woman’s body prepares herself to carry a baby and to give birth. Its a time when a woman faces great changes in her body. Pregnancy starts with fertilization when a woman’s egg is fertilized by a man’s sperm. It's the time when a fetus develops in the uterus or womb.

Its normal to experience mood swings in pregnant womens. Its just due to the hormonal changes happening in the body. A woman shows anger, sadness and starts crying suddenly or may become happy without any reason. So these are mood swings normally seen in womens.
Spotting:
Light spotting may occur in pregnancy it is when the fertilized egg implant in the uterus. Light spotting is different from miscarriage spotting. Its discharge is light in color and is without clots.
Other symptoms:

3.1. 1st Trimester:
The 1st trimester is from week 1 to week 12. This is the most challenging period for mother’s body. As She suffers from Nausea , food cravings , morning sickness , fatigue and many more physical and emotional changes. 3.2. 2nd Trimester:
The 2nd trimester of pregnancy is from week 13 to 27. In this period mother’s body face different changes as the baby’s body start growing and the size of womb also grows. The breast size also increases and food cravings continues in 2nd trimester. Morning sickness and fatigue reduces and the energy level improves in 2nd trimester. Most importantly mother starts feeling the movement of baby in this period. This is usually considered as happy period of pregnancy As mother start feeling confident and excited because she feel more settled.
During 2nd trimester the baby’s body start growing , the baby’s brain and head start developing and limb start growing faster.
3.3. 3rd Trimester:
This stage of pregnancy is from 27 week to 40 week. This is usually considered as the difficult or restless phase for mother. In this stage mother’s uterus reach its maximum size. Breast size continues to enlarge and nipples may also become darker. Body cramps , back pain are common complains. Baby weight cause difficulty in walking normally. Pressure of uterus on urinary bladder cause discomfort and extra discharge of urine. A woman gains an average weight of 25 to 35 pounds. But in some cases it can be less or more. Discomfort, excitment and restlessness are common emotional changes during 3rd trimester.
In this period , baby’s growth slows down but the weight continues to gain. During 3rd trimester baby matures in getting ready for birth.

For a healthy diet a woman needs good amount of food rich in calcium, Vitamin D, Folate, Protein, Iron, Omega 3 fatty acids etc. It important to have good diet for the proper and healthy development of baby. A good diet of mother reflects in a baby. Baby’s beauty depends on the happiness and diet of mother during pregnancy. You should also avoid processed foods , soft drinks , caffeine and a pregnant woman should be away of drugs and alcohol because it effects the baby.
6.2. Exercise routine during pregnancy:
This topic is often neglected by womens but it is important for normal baby growth and woman’s health . By having daily exercise routine a woman get rid of pregnancy complications. She spends a happy pregnancy period if she continues exercise routine. Labor:
Labor is a process of giving birth to baby. Labor is divided into three stages.
• In first stage, the contraction starts and gradually become stronger and faster. During this stage the cervix dilates.
• In second stage, the cervix is fully dilated and it ends with the birth of baby. The baby’s head crown during this second stage.
• Third stage, starts when the baby is born and in this stage the placenta is delivered.
Delivery:
Delivery is the process of giving birth to baby and placenta. It can be done by natural delivery and also by Cesareans section (C-section).
Pain relief:
Its the personal choice of women. Some choose to have medication and other prefer to go with non- meditation process
9. Things to expect after pregnancy:
9.1 Postpartum care :
Its a necessary step which must be done . Mother and baby both needs to be cared alot by family. They need full attention and A mother should feel relax and stress free after postpartum. Her physical and emotional changes may also continue after pregnancy.
